Meet the Split Pouch–a handy, zippy and practical project!

The Project
I’ve been so excited to share this project with you. This is a pouch that I’ve been using non-stop for quite a while now. The coolest thing about it is that once it’s open the sections snap together to make this compartmented holder.

The Split Pouch is handy for toting on trips or for keeping your supplies handy. I’ve been using mine for travel and sewing stuff, but it’d be great for school and plenty of other opportunities too.

Project Sizes
The pattern includes three project size options. I use the Medium size a lot! It holds my travel toiletries nicely or a bunch of thread. I love that once you are settled somewhere, you can pop it open, snap the sections in place and then grab things as you need them. It also makes it really easy to see what you have.

The Small size is not only really cute, but also very efficient at holding some quick handwork supplies. It’s just right for a couple of spools of thread, your thread gloss and a pair of scissors. Once opened, you can even use one side as a thread catcher.

The Large size is longer and more rectangular, which makes it great for pencils, scissors, seam guides, etc. All together, it’s a very workable range that is ready to suit your needs.

The New Pattern
The pattern is now available in both print and PDF formats. Techniques included are basic sewing, installing a zipper and snaps (new YouTube out now!), as well as quilting if you are planning to use Soft and Stable as a stabilizer.

The pattern walks you through all of the steps with plenty of illustrations.

The Online Workshop
For the first time ever, I have an online workshop available with this pattern. It’s been a dream of mine for awhile! You can buy just the pattern, OR you can purchase the virtual workshop to go along with it. In the 2+ hour workshop you can see how it all comes together with all of the steps from wherever you are and on your own schedule.
You can watch the pre-recorded course straight through as many times as you like, or you can jump around to the specific Chapters in the video.

I hope you are as excited about the Split Pouch pattern as I am to share it with you–I cannot wait to see what you make! I have many more samples to share and fun stuff planned now that this pattern is out and in the world. Stay tuned.
