Lecture Topics + Trunk Shows
// What I Think About When I Think About Quilting
I love quilting not only because it makes me think of so many things, but because it gives me a way to translate the things that I see and think about into tangible, functional items. Through the quilts and the inspiration behind them, we’ll explore how aspects of life and other stuff can feed the making of a quilt.
// Quilting Design Strategies and Implementation
Let’s talk about quilting! Quilting can be intimidating but also an exciting and important part of the process. Carolyn will walk you through how she thinks about the quilting for her quilts from a design standpoint as well as the practical things to consider when implementing it.
// Let’s Look At Some Quilts – Trunk Show
Sometimes the best way to understand projects is by looking at a lot of them. Carolyn loves to share the inspiration behind her work, and how she implements it into her fabrics and quilts. In seeing many examples, attendees will learn different techniques and strategies to incorporate into their own work as well.
