New Projects for the weekend! We’ve been busily working behind the scenes on a website refresh–I hope you like it! Because of that, I’ve held up a few new product releases so that I can launch them along with the new site. Here we go!
Over the next few days, I’ll post more about each of these new projects. It’s fun, because here in the US we have a long weekend ahead of us, and what better way to celebrate than with some sewing, right? Hopefully one of these will set off a creative spark for you. For now, I’m giving you a cheat sheet with links to the new product listings.
Long Leaf!
My Long Leaf project is here! It’s been such a fun project that I couldn’t stop with just one version, I’ve already made two! And actually, making two makes sense because the first one I made using foundation paper piecing (FPP) and the second version is made using template piecing. Both techniques are outlined in the instructions, AND I have a brand-new set of acrylic templates if you are wanting to go the template piecing route.
Just a tip; FPP may be easier for beginners to create a professional looking result, and Template Piecing may be a bit faster but relies on an accurate seam allowance and easy pressing.
Bow!
For those of you looking to get into some handwork, my Bow appliqué project is here! Ah, this project has been such a peaceful break for me during some challenging and stressful times. (I hope it provides that for you too!) The gentle curves make for a perfect beginner project if you’re new to the technique, and the fabric and color possibilities make it perfect for any and everyone else. I can’t stop thinking about new color and fabric combinations for this design. (Spoiler alert: There are more to come!)
This version was made using my newest CF Grid Group fabrics, which conveniently start shipping to stores this month. Yay!
Deeper Dive This Weekend
Ok, that’s my quick update. If you are looking for more project inspiration, I have posts for each of the projects to carry you through the weekend–or whenever you can get to them next. Happy Friday!
