I made this Maker’s Tote for my Mom. She’s also a maker and so a handy carry-all seemed like a great idea.
The pattern is this new one by Noodlehead.
I used fabric from all four of my fabric lines, architextures, botanics, doe and carkai. (I still can’t believe I have four fabric lines…)
There are two size options included in the pattern, and this is the larger one. I think I’ll try out the smaller size next.
It has so much space and many handy pockets throughout.
I found a spot where I could take advantage of the special selvage treatment on one of the carkai prints.
This bag was a fun one to make and definitely one that will get used often. Next, I’ll have to make one for myself…
Fabulous! I love the subtleties in Carkai. I need to make a bag with this collection <3 Your Maker's Tote is awesome.
That bag looks to be as practical as it is beautiful. Awesome combination.
Wow the colors and the fabrics are so beautiful! Really makes the bag special!
I keep hearing about this bag. I think it’s time I check it out. Your prints are awesome.
It’s a great bag! I made one for a Christmas gift and now I want to make one for myself! I didn’t quite understand how to do the zip (maybe it was the late hour) so I installed the magnetic snaps instead.
Ooo, magnetic snaps sound like a great solution!
Love your bag and choice of fabrics. I might have to give this one a try.
I love the colors! and the fabrics of course. I bought the pattern but haven’t had a chance to make it yet! Hopefully some day soon:)
I want to make one of these too! I’m working on some of the bags from Handmade Style first, though 🙂
looks so amazing!! 🙂
Thank you!
I love the use of your larger print design as the outer shell of the Maker’s bag. I was just wondering how I might use it!
Love how all of your fabric collections work so beautifully together! What a special, thoughtful gift!
Time to buy more carkai!
