finding a social: update.

July 5, 2013 by carolyn friedlander 19 Comments

social tote in green architextures_carolyn friedlander

Hope you had a wonderful 4th!

I thought I’d share my architextures version of the social tote.

If you haven’t already seen it, make sure to check out Anna’s recent post on developing the social. Again, she is so amazingly talented and was such a blast to work with.

Thanks so much for all the interest in the pattern! I’ve really enjoyed opening my inbox each time to your kind words. And I’m sorry that some of you are having trouble finding it, but thanks for your incredible patience! With it being a new pattern it sometimes takes a little bit of time to find its way into the shops. While shops are awaiting their stock, I’m happy to get the pattern to you. Just send me a note, and we’ll get you set up. ( info [at] carolynfriedlander [dot] com )

This might be a good time for me to ask–would you want the option to buy the pattern directly from my website? How do you feel about having a downloadable option?

Because I’m curious, and I value your thoughts.

Hi. I love this pattern and would like to have the option to buy online a downloadable pattern. Since living in Alaska, it is hard to find patterns I pour local store and it sometimes takes months to have something special ordered.

Yes downloadable please, I live in the UK so ordering a paper pattern and waiting for it to arrive (and the shipping cost) is frustrating, so a buy and get cuttng within minutes is wonderful. I can’t remember the last time I bought a pattern that wasn’t PDF. thanks

Downloadable is great! And better too because it’s usually a little less expensive that way. Give me technology any day.

For smaller items such as this, I prefer a PDF. I can print out what I need and read the rest on the screen and have less to worry about storing. Also, they tend to be less money and I can save at the same time. That sometimes makes the decision for me in the buying process. What the cost of the pattern is, compared to what I can do with it along with comparing the ones I already have.

    Hi Carolyn,

Buying from your website would be great, and a downloadable would be excellent for the instant gratification. I think I would prefer to receive the printed version because your packaging looks super appealing.

    Thanks for asking!

Thank you so much for the extra visual instructions for this cute basket! I’m really a very visual person when it comes to instructions so this will help with the pattern! I bought it at Bolt fabric store in Portland Oregon.

    Hi Carolyn
Have just found your website and would love to buy downloadable patterns from you as I live in the UK and can’t find anyone here who stocks your patterns. Your designs are fab – the fabrics, the patterns and your stamps!

I would love to be able to order your patterns for downloading. I was just looking at the Social Tote and would love to be able to make it soon. I have used other downloadable patterns and as long as the instructions are well written it is really no problem, and so much faster to get! I live in a rural area and can’t easily get to quilt shops that might carry your packaged patterns. Thanks for asking. I hope to be placing an order soon! 😉
