It should be Week 6, but I’m going to delay things for a week, and instead call today, Elate Quilt Along Week 5.5. It doesn’t really roll off the tongue, but here we are. I need another week, and I figure some of you may not hate having a little extra time yourself. I’m thinking it’ll be fun to take a look at some Elate quilts from you. They are looking SO GOOD.

@annhansen59 with a beautiful palette! I love the bright energy here and the mix of prints. She did a great job including large and small prints. I love seeing everything at play.

@karos_corner incorporated clothing fabrics and pockets! The stripes paired with denim feels crisp but also so soft and loved. This is a great project.

@pisto_design with a color palette that has a beautiful sense of self. The blacks, maroons and deep reds feel very cohesive, and the mix of prints gives it a lot of interest too. There’s also something special about seeing cherished prints that I have too. I love it.

@roxanne_dunnsmith used clothes and some of my newest fabrics in this version. I LOVE the way the colors transition down the quilt and how they are paired up. It feels rich and interesting and so beautiful.

@scraps125 is having so much fun with the scraps. I love the bold mix and seeing so many different things. They come together well, because the blocks are so well paired with great contrast. Well done!

@selenaart123 is making my Liberty dreams come true. It’s beautiful, right? The colors and the Liberty prints look great. I need to make one. I know this is super soft too.

@sewndiego is giving us a TOTALLY different project. This is Elate?! I love a flexible project, and this one is showing a great way to take it. Even my two-color version looks completely different. Thanks @sewndiego for allowing me to see things in a new way!

@sewquiltquiltquilt is giving me quilt fort vibes with this in the best way possible. The rich colors are also feeling like stained glass. It’s really nice, right?

@the_psewchologist has a scrappy mix that is tied together so well. The blue is bringing harmony and calm to this beautiful mix. I also love the cut up bird print. It’s like we are seeing them fly by the window in different sections. I love it!

@tarasieberg has hers quilted! I strongly suggest that you click over to see the detail shots, because the textured fabrics are <chef’s kiss>. I love the mix of colors and textures, and the straight-line quilting ties it together beautifully. I also have some of these fabrics, and it’s making me want to use them in an Elate…

@kathleenquilts – gah, isn’t this gorgeous! It’s a great example of how you can introduce an entirely new element in the quilting. I can’t wait to see how this finishes out. I know it will be stunning.

@quilterstable with a genius way to incorporate extra blocks on the back. When I first saw this, I thought it was a very cool approach, thinking it was going to the the quilt top, but no–it’s the back. How cool is that? Both sides are beautiful.
Thanks for following along! Don’t forget to share and tag me. We’ll be sorting out the prizes next week. And if you have any questions, you can ask here. I’ll see you next week!
