Elate Quilt Along Week 4
It’s week 4 in the Elate Quilt Along, and I have a finished quilt top! Yay!

Each week we have something to celebrate, and it’s been fun to share in this process.
Here’s the video for the week.
Finished Quilt Top
It was fun to carve out some time over the weekend to get in the flow with my blocks. I just kept cutting and sewing together the pieces.

Color is such an important aspect of this quilt. I used a lot of solids, but I worked in more prints as I got towards the end. I hadn’t made an Elate quilt with solids yet, and so I was especially curious to give it a try.

I love how much the colors play tricks on your eyes. Because I used different shades of oranges and reds the warm and cool differences are more exaggerated. It feels like there is a lot going on, and there is, but it’s also just this big wash of color that changes across the quilt.

The addition of a few prints add texture and depth.

I can’t wait to get to quilt it, which is what we’ll be covering in the next Elate Quilt Along post!

See you next week!
