Elate Quilt Along Week 2

It’s week 2 in the Elate Quilt Along, and I’m focusing on fabric. Here’s a look.

Special Bundles

I am loving your questions and comments. In fact, it’s making it feel like we are working together on this. As I mentioned in the video, this week I was inspired to pull together a fabric bundle along the lines of the Garden Elate quilt that I made and shared last week.

Once you start pulling for one, it’s hard to stop, so I pulled together a second bundle as well. This one is Warm and Punchy.

I have a very limited number of these in the shop if you are interested. Even if you don’t pick one up, I hope it gives you more ideas for how to build a palette of your own. As I mentioned in the video, I love a variety of prints for this project. Small textures mix beautifully with larger prints and solids. You can have colors that pop and other colors that support.

My Eclectic Pull

I’m still having a heyday pulling fabrics for this project. As I start cutting and sewing things together next week, I’ll reign things in…or not. Sewing is supposed to be fun, and that’s what we are doing!
