Before too much time gets away from me, I thought I’d share a bit from my 2019 Fall Quilt Market in Houston experience. (And do a giveaway!)
By taking a booth break this past spring, I found myself feeling refreshed and able to enjoy creating an environment to show off the things I’ve been thinking about and working on. Stepping back and looking at what you’ve done can be good. It makes me excited for the projects I most enjoyed and eager to get going on the next things. It may be a booth for me, but you could absolutely gather up some of your own recent projects, either physically or digitally, and reflect a bit on what you’ve been making. I’ll bet it gives you a little spark for whatever might come next.

Phew, so much stuff! I feel like I rarely share the booth details and projects all together like this. What do you think? Is it helpful to have a project hub? I’m hoping it’s an easy way to take it all in.
These Eads mini blocks have been something I’ve wanted to do FOREVER, which is to take leftovers from a big Eads project and work them into a mini version. This time, I’m using little scraps from the bigger project and letting 3 lemon yellow and light fabrics (both Jetty and Kona) take the lead. It’s totally a weekend project, and I’m excited to carve out more time to let it grow.

I’m working up the nerve to finish my “tall tales” paper pieced quilt top.
I’m excited I just finished a king size floral quilt top and I’m finally setting myself project goals, to finish one before moving to the next! I’m really super excited to get to my Local Quilt that I started as a BOM and well… you know… “oh! Look! New fabric!”
I can’t wait to have the new CF Collection and Jetty to add to my growing Wainwright quilt. It’s my long term project so it’s fun to add your new fabics when they come along!

I’m stitching the binding on a doll quilt that I’m making for my 2-year-old niece’s dolls. It is a mini replica of the quilt I made for her 2 years ago – it’s the cutest little thing 🙂

I’ve been working a lot of EPP lately, I’m excited about keeping my project momentum going through the holiday season because it’s portable and convenient with hectic schedules and travel time. Love the booth recap, hope you’ll do it every round!
I am finishing a values quilt online class by Blair Stocker and starting my Snowflake. Have completed cutting and can’t wait to just sew! Eads- regular and mini are calling me in the new year.
I’m excited to choose some fabrics from the shelf for a few gifts for maker friends. I think pincushions, thread catchers, and patchwork project bags.

More great stuff Carolyn! I always love details, so thank you for taking the time on your post to note everything. I’m getting close to finishing a v-neck dress that has some patchwork with your fabrics around the neck and front bands. It all started when I casually laid out some linen fabric on top of my eads quilt and noticed it later in the day and thought hmmmm. :).
I’m excited to possibly finish my dads churn dash quilt and hopefully get to work on a personal solids quilt
Eads is still at the top of my list (still working on Arlington), and I’m now tempted to do it in the new fabrics!
Excited to work on log cabin Christmas ornaments for my kids teachers, with my kids helping of course 🙃 then 2 quilts for my nieces who graduate high school in June

I just finished a large pieced quilt and am excited about starting a needle turn appliqué quilt next! I’m working my way up to an Altruas quilt but starting with a small Hawaiian style pillow cover.
I am working on sewing 3 advent calendars for my sisters and brother. I have wanted to do something like this forever, so happy to be actually well on my way to completing them!!! I love all of your fabric, but really looking forward to the CF collection as I missed alot of the Architexture line when it first came out!!
I’m excited to sew some new stockings for this year.
I’m almost done hand quilting an old-fashioned sawtooth star quilt to replace one I made for my daughter when she was 9 years old. It was my first quilt and “tied” with buttons and she and, unfortunately, her washing machine, loved it to shreds. Here’s hoping she follows care instructions this time around!
I have a couple of baby quilts I am hoping to put together very soon, using up a couple of different charm packs. Also, been working on knitting mismatch socks, trying to use up the bits of leftover sock yarn from previous sock projects. Thanks for all the inspiration, the images of your booth are terrific. In the new year I am hoping to start on a wall size version of your Heart quilt pattern. Take care of yourself and be well.
I only have a couple of blocks left in my Everglade quilt, and I’m really excited to see how all the blocks look together. I hope to work on it over Thanksgiving Break.

I’m working on finishing up the hand quilting on a natural indigo dyed whole cloth quilt I started in an workshop with Kim Eichler-Messmer this past summer. I would love to make a Hearts quilt as well as I’m really getting into handwork.

I am totally inspired by Collection and the fact that it is cold out to make a new queen sized bed quilt for me (and the husband)! Our guest room bed quilt it all Carolyn, so I am thinking we need something fresh for our bed too.

I feel like I’ve been in a bit of project overload lately, mostly trying to finish up some older projects that have been weighing me down. But my preorder of Collection (CF) should be on its way soon, and I’m excited to use some of it to finally start a Bullseye quilt! I need some handstitching over the holidays. Your booth looks wonderful!
I’ve got a Christmas gift quilt that I need to quilt and finish up a couple of charity projects before the end of the year. I have a few plans for some upcoming quilts, bags, and a garment that I can’t wait to tackle once these other projects are complete!
Love your work! The project I’d to get started on is a mini heart quilt base on an illustration my daughter did. There will be just a little piecing, some applique and lots of fine and chunky quilting.

I’m looking forward to finishing a hand appliqué quilt I’ve been making for friends who lost their home in the Tubbs Fire. Two years later they are finally getting close to moving into their rebuilt home, and I am finally getting close to finishing their quilt!
I am finishing up a challenge quilt for my small group, loose threads. It is improv and I should have it done in time.

I’m still in the fabric pull stage of an Aerial Grove quilt but have been gemming and hawing… I need to commit to my colour scheme to start and that will help me narrow down the choices!

After having spinal surgery in June, I’m looking forward to being able to appliqué again, and get started on my aerial quilt in linen and liberty.
I love the free form of the Eads project and how you can use up scraps while focusing on a main color way. Looking forward to seeing you at

I am loving my BOM using modern fabrics to make the blocks for a quilt called All the Best, originally done with Civil War fabrics. Just one more row!
I am patiently waiting to have my postage stamp over sized queen quilt long armed. I used scrap batiks and I love it.
I’m excited to have finished a long time WIP. now, I just need to get it quilted!
I just got 5 quilts from my Long arm quilters so binding is my next project.
